How do I know my LTO renewal month?
The last digit of your plate number sets the month (1 = January through 9 = September, 0 = October). The second-to-last digit sets the week: 1–3 is week 1, 4–6 is week 2, 7–8 is week 3, and 9–0 is week 4.
What happens if I renew late?
Renewing after your assigned week but within your month is a small late fee (around ₱200 for cars). Let it run for months and the penalty grows to roughly 50% of your MVUC. Driving on expired registration risks a ₱10,000 fine and impounding after a month.
