Conversions are approximate at ≈₱61 = US$1 (mid-2026); exchange rates move, so treat the converted figures as ballpark. Philippine SRP confirmed at ₱1,598,000 on both BYD Philippines' model page and its 28 July 2026 price list. Third-party listings quoting ₱1,548,000 appear to be out of date or confusing it with the eMAX 7.

Do you have to plug in a BYD DM-i?
No — it will run as a hybrid on petrol alone, and the 1.5-litre generator keeps the battery topped up. But you lose most of the point if you never charge it: the electric range is where the running-cost saving comes from, and an unplugged plug-in hybrid is just a heavy hybrid.
Is 105 km of electric range realistic?
It is an NEDC figure, which is the second-most optimistic of the four laboratory cycles in use. Our guide to test cycles suggests discounting NEDC by roughly 20–25% before comparing it with anything else, which puts a realistic figure closer to 80–85 km. That is still more than most Philippine daily commutes.
How fast does the Sealion 6 charge?
BYD Philippines does not publish a peak charging rate for it, so we do not show one. Ask the dealer for the AC and DC figures before buying if charging speed matters to you — with an 18.3 kWh battery, an overnight AC charge is the normal use case rather than fast charging.
